Arvind Kejriwal and David O. Selznick

  • 0

After the hung verdict given by the people of Delhi, political parties have found themselves in a quandary. Eventually BJP decided not for the government, and the first time AAP was in a trickier situation than other political parties. Arvind Kejriwal had no option but to come out with his thoughts when several allegations were being leveled against him and his party AAP as they were reluctant to form the government when there was a chance for a minority government and support by the Congress party.

Arvind Kejriwal came out with 18 conditions to Congress and BJP for AAP to form the government by taking either of their support – Congress accepted those conditions, now Arvind Kejriwal said that he has to take the opinion of people to whether to take support of Congress to form the government. Frankly, asking people to give their opinion again to on the issue of forming a government is nothing less than making mockery of democracy. What makes AAP sure that only the people who have voted for them will respond? There is a chance where supporters of BJP or Congress may sabotage this opinion poll of AAP. What if this turns to be a fractured opinion?

What Arvind Kejriwal and his followers do not understand is that the election verdict given by common man is the ultimate opinion, there cannot be an explicit opinion than an individual coming to voting booth and casting his vote. AAP has not only made a mockery of democracy but they have ridiculed the electoral process by making fun of the people’s opinion. Did Arvind Kejriwal has taken the opinion of families of Delhi blast victims before declaring Batla House Encounter as fake? Of course not – though AAP is a new political party, Arvind Kejriwal knows how to exploit the emotions of people.

David O. Selznick was known as one of the mighty film producers of Hollywood. Actions of Arvind Kejriwal reminds me of David Selznick in many ways. Selznick was famous to the outside world for making "Gone with the Wind", which is a celluloid extravaganza but it’s the inside story which gives a different picture of David Selznick. Though there were many differences among the IAC members they worked as a team to gather the momentum across the country for Lokpal bill.

Thoughts on Delhi Election Results

  • 0

There is nothing wrong for them to be ecstatic when their party has done exceedingly well on debut. AAP is a phenomenon, may be short or a long one but the results of the Delhi assembly election forces many to do an introspection, not the same "introspection" as mentioned by Rahul Gandhi.

Delhi went through many changes in the last decade, the migrant population got increased, and the daily wage workers from neighboring states of Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Bihar have migrated in large numbers. Elite closed circuits of Delhi do not hold the same intellectual grip in the social groups. Left Liberals of cocktail clubs have been forced to reduce the noise to accommodate new tenants who closely associate with the same brand of political cocktail.

Fools rush in where Angels fear to tread.

Anna Hazare's Anti-Corruption movement attracted the huge Indian middle class and Arvind Kejriwal was able to hijack the imagination and the anger of the middle class against politics and divert them to AAP. Arvind Kejriwal and his team vehemently worked before the elections, their commitment and hard work must be appreciated and the results prove it.

India and the Pseudo Intellectual Terrorism

Arun shourie was labeled by Shoma Chaudhary as "adumbral position between liberal knight, self-righteous crusader and unselfconscious fascist". Thanks to the Halal intellectualism of Shoma Chaudhary which made her to brand a man of high integrity like Arun Shourie with the qualities which she possess and displayed them in public them recently.

Arun Shourie said "The intellectuals (Lefties) thus have no option but to fall back on one of three things"
1. They just do not talk about the facts.
2. They rely on going on repeating the fabrication.
3. They hijacked institutions to broadcast their concoctions.

The above three things still exist and in the last decade they have nurtured the future generations of Communists, feminists, left liberals and Islamic sympathizers.

There’s this new saying, "You will pay for your sins in the current life". One has to compliment karma for making a perfect entry. The sexual assault case against Tarun Tejpal has unmasked the left liberals, it has changed the mode of desi feminists from cacophonic to silent, and the views of Socialists - Communists are now restricted to syllables. For all these years, Shoma Choudary presented herself as a feminist, who stood for rights of women but when her boss was trapped in the sexual assault case, she adapted the style and narrative of Khap panchayats. Hypocrisy is one of the open secret ingredient which kept Tehelka running and endorsed disgusting feminists and left liberal voices to propagate crap. Genocide Suzie termed it as “Rape 2” and the members of pink chaddi brigade have gone missing.

Recently, I came across a discussion where racism was being linked with the game of chess and one foreigner rightly pointed out that Chess was invented in India which doesn’t have the history of racism. This silenced everyone, as it was the ultimate truth. A feminist friend of mine was asking others to participate in the "Black is Beautiful" campaign endorsed by Nandita Das, my first impression after hearing it was 'Bullshit'. Let me ask you a question, "If someone comes with 'White is Beautiful' or 'Wheatish is Beautiful' campaign, would you support it?" If cosmetic companies have to be termed as racist for coming up with fairness creams, then I feel that even the dark folks who are using fairness creams should be termed as racists and people who tan their bodies too should be seen as racists. By asking people what to do and what not to do with their skins, the pompous activists are asking you to surrender the individual rights.

Andala Rakshasi - A Melancholic Ecstasy

If there is something that sincerely hurts the Telugu Film Industry is the lack of film criticism. One should not get confused between film reviewers and film critics, there is definitely a difference between the both and occasionally their territories overlap with each other. There are very few people who cross the borders of film criticism and film reviewing effortlessly, Roger Ebert was one of them. The growth of internet was followed by the mushroom growth of websites on Telugu Cinema, the film reviews and ratings on the websites for new releases are like the fast food, they serve for the moment- in this process, genuine film criticism is getting ignored.

Let I be blunt in stating the fact that there are hardly any Telugu film critics, many film reviewers and only some of them are good film reviewers, almost innumerable instant star rating reviewers and very few people who do an honest post-mortem of films. The reason behind writing this post is that reviewers and film-goers are no longer looking at films beyond the star ratings given to them and people are no longer looking into the finer details of film-making, this is hurting Telugu Film Industry.

I watched Hanu Raghavapudi's "Andala Rakshashi (Beautiful Devil)" on my personal computer and was fascinated to observe the finesse of the director and of course I was disappointed with the flaws attached with it, I decided to watch the film again and I was able to convince myself that almost every frame of the film was exuding the conviction of the director.

Hanu Raghavapudi mentioned several times that the film is about three characters Midhuna, Surya and Gowtham which represent Earth, Sun and Moon respectively. I was very curious when I first heard the concept of bringing natural sacred elements Earth, Sun and Moon as form of film characters and was thrilled to watch the plot revolving around these characters.

Jhooth bole social media kaate
I guess I can call this beast as the biggest hoax printing machine of our times. This self-proclaimed independent magazine has been the venom spitting serpent for many years, it was deliberately allowed to go berserk due to its political inclinations and in return it was generously served financially and ideologically.

The growth of this magazine is an interesting phenomenon, not that it’s the most popular or a small magazine with intellectual insight, but it has always been a magazine which manufactured lies, fabricated issues, celebrated pseudo intellectualism, pushed biased opinions and promoted hate mongering.

It shouldn't come as a surprise for those who are aware of the disgusting views of this magazine, but when the same looney lot locates violence in the cartoons of Amar Chitra Katha and pontificates saying that they endorse murdering innocent Muslims, then that rubs the raw nerves.

Sita Swayamvaram

I tweeted about the song "Rama Kanavermira" from K. Vishwanath's film "Swathi Muthyam" starring Kamal Hassan and Radhika. Mad Nad asked for an English translation, then I understood the pain of translating the pure classical Telugu into English.

Like many yo-yo guys, even I wanted to address Rama as dude and Sita as Babe as it sounds modern and rebellious for young folks and even I felt like questioning the conduct of Rama with Sita to look like a posh Liberal activist. But, these things changed as I read some good and reliable translations of Ramayana and understanding the love between Rama and Sita and how they both were tested by time and Dharma. Of course, these days it is cool and modern to come up with jokes which ridicule our culture and traditions and the so called stand-up comedians crack mediocre jokes like "Rama went to a Bar..." or "Sita caught Rama in a Bar...". I am fine with criticizing and having some fun with epics but I am not comfortable when people who haven't read them and who have no idea about culture and traditions starts ridiculing them just for ostentation.

Veturi's song "Rama chakkani Sitaki" in Godavari has opened a new dimension of Veturi for me, the way he used words in the song was brilliant and was sure that "Rama Kanavemira" (రామా కనవేమిరా) was written by Veturi, as the style was similar but to my surprise I found out that it is Atreya who has written the lyrics for the song "Rama Kanavemira" (రామా కనవేమిరా). Veturi was very much inspired by Atreya and often said that he has seen Atreya as a guru and Atreya was much better writer than him.

Translating this song into English was an excruciating experience as there are no online resources for telugu words and no good Telugu dictionary available. Below mentioned friends helped me in this endeavor.

I thank  Pavan for translating some words into English.
I thank Avinash for providing his inputs, never knew that he had so much command on Telugu.
I thank Priyanka Mukherjee for fine tuning the raw dump English words into poetic form.

Request: Please comment if you find any mistakes or any changes that have to be done.
Note: Telugu was my 3rd language in School.

When I realized that it is a curse to be a middle class Indian

  • 0
I do not look like this guy, it is just for illustration & page thumbnail

Over two decades ago, my parents and some family friends bought land on the outskirts of the city. The land remained untouched for years until a few years ago when numerous property developers showed interest in buying the land. We were curious as to why so many parties were interested in buying at the same time, but eventually, nothing happened.

After a few months, the government announced one of the biggest construction projects in the state, and we realized why so many parties had expressed interest in buying our land. Due to our financial obligations and my unfinished engineering degree, we wanted to sell the land, but none of the parties who had approached us initially came forward to buy the land at the last minute.

When the government released the initial plan for the project, we discovered that our land would fall under the project, and the market value of the land was lost. We were disappointed, but we had no other choice but to accept the compensation rate that would be given by the government.

Later, we heard that the government had changed the plan, and some lands that were initially part of the project were no longer included. We made inquiries and found that our land was still part of the project area.

Gravity

Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity" is a masterpiece. Its hard to even think that major part of a Sci-Fi film with big stars of Hollywood, backed by a big Hollywood studio is shot in a confined studio space. One has to watch the film to feel the unprecedented achievement of Cinema complimented by Technology. Its quite obvious for film lovers to equate "Gravity" with Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey". Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity" doesn't even have the traces of philosophical & psychological overtones which is profound in "2001: A Space Odyssey" but its the audacity of Alfonso Cuaron's imagination and the exquisite execution makes it a Sci-Fi masterpiece. I couldn't stop myself from asking, what Stanley Kubrick would have created if he had the same scientific technology at his disposal. Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity" is scientific sorcery on celluloid. Don't miss it.

Right to Reject and its Misuse

  • 0
This post is intended for self reference and can help many as it can be taken as a template to make some points after the 2014 General Elections irrespective of the mandate given by the people.

Parliament Democracy can be funny and it will turn out to be more interesting in the next general elections as Supreme Court okayed the "Right to Reject" option where the voter can choose not to vote for any candidate.

Example:-

Let us assume that there is a guy named NM who is contesting for the MP seat from XNagar.
Total number of voters in the XNagar constituency according to Elections Commission is 100.

60 people came out and casted their votes on the election day.
40 people voted for NM
10 people voted for Others (Others=Main Opposition + Other parties + Independents)
10 people used the new option "Right to Reject" granted by Supreme Court

NM wins the MP seat and if NM's party gets good results across India, he has the chance to become the PM of the country.

Activists, Left Liberals and Assholes:-

Now, lets look at Activists, Left Liberals and many assholes. Let us assume that as NM is a public figure and he attracts criticism and let us even assume that Activists, Left Liberals and Assholes are haters of NM and cant bear to see NM as PM. So, the following would be the argument by them:

100 -Total voters in XNagar
60- No: of people who came out to vote
40 - No: of people who voted for NM
20 - Didn't want NM (10+10)

According to Election Commissions data
40- People who didn't turn up on voting day (100-60)

Some perjurist Teesta or a crook Amartya or a jerk URA or a fool like Amitav would come out and say that 60% people didn't vote for NM and would exude their deep hatred by saying that he cannot be the PM of the country as 60% people of his own constituency didn't want him and he cannot be the PM of this country.

AAP - Deadly Cocktail of Islamification + Left Liberalism

  • 4

The difference between a Ballet hall and a Strip club is that the poles are kept in horizontal and vertical positions respectively. As the Delhi elections are coming closer, the leaders of AAP and its supporters are going berserk to gather votes and sometimes their camouflage which they have cleverly adopted is exposed due to Freudian slips.

It has been a roller coaster ride for AAP leaders, members and supporters who were once part of Team Anna. Syed Ahmed Bukhari, said that the Anna movement is Anti-Islamic and Indian Muslims should not participate in it. A lot has changed since then –Team Anna got divided and comrade Arvind Kejriwal has set up a political party called Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which hopes to win the Delhi Assembly elections with the help of Muslim votes with a parallel continuous Anti-Corruption agenda which they hijacked from Team Anna and the illegitimate claim to the momentum which got generated during the Anna movement.

The formula which worked for All India Students Association (AISA) in the recent Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union (JNUSU) has been neatly chronicled here, where the true left ideology doesn't play an important role but it’s the Muslim vote bank + backward class votes which made the difference and the similar approach is now being applied by Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP.

AAP comrades are well aware that they have more than a good chance to surprise people and political pundits in the coming Delhi assembly elections and its supporters are counting on the momentum gained by the Anna Hazare movement which can get bulk of middle class votes, vigorous minority appeasement tactics to get the Muslim votes and at the same time presenting their left liberal attitude which usually gets a good response in Indian urban areas. BJP MLA, Kishan Reddy tweeted about the important issue of illegal immigrants in India and the supporters of AAP have started to show their true colors shedding their chameleonism. The AAP supporters came with the comrade’s style of arguments and asked if Migrated Aryans should also leave India suggesting that ethnic Indians are migrants, this logic is obviously derived from the Aryan Invasion Theory.

People like Ramachandra Guha, Romila Thapar and other Eminent Historians have indirectly and actively propagated the Aryan Invasion Theory which is a hoax, and which was repeatedly proved by scientific biological studies across the world. Marxist Historians have tried to push this false theory again and again to suit their intentions and now this hoax is now being used by AAP supporters.

Do you know what is the sexiest thing in Ruby Sparks (2012)?

  • 0

Ruby Sparks is a must watch. I don't have time to write about it but would like to ask you a question if you have seen the film.

What is the sexiest thing in Ruby Sparks?
- Its not the film. (I agree that its a very good film)
- Its not Calvin.
- Its definitely not Ruby. (Even though she is mind boggling )
- Its not the dog, Scott. (Its just cute)
- Its not the viewer (Do not complicate the question)

Division of Andhra Pradesh

  • 3
Last couple of days have been emotional for many Telugu speaking people. Telugu is arguably the second largest spoken language in India after Hindi. The state of Telugu people i.e. Andhra Pradesh would be divided into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh (Andhra + Rayalseema). After independence, Sardar Patel unified India into many states, but there was another problem from South India where a man named “Potti Sriramulu” demanded a separate state for Telugu speaking people from the state of Madras. Thus began the formation of Indian states on linguistic basis and Andhra Pradesh being the first one. Irony was about to appear, the doubts over the separate state were cleared on 30th July and the birthday of Jnanpith Awardee “Cingireddy Narayana Reddy” was on 29th July who is well known for his song “Telugu Jaati manadi” which endorses the greater association of Telugu people from all the regions of present Andhra Pradesh.

When Andhra Pradesh was being pushed into backwardness, thanks to the governance of Congress and there was no challenging opposition to counter Congress, NT Rama Rao formed the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), he attracted intellectuals, Anti-Congress and youth, and K.Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) was one of the many who joined the TDP, later he would name his son as Rama Rao. Chandra Babu Naidu was at the helm of affairs when he removed KCR as the Transport Minister who would later form a new party by the name Telangana Rashtriya Samithi (TRS) which would fight for the cause of separate state of Telangana.

Dr. Manmohan Singh or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the UPA

  • 1

Well, as Manmohan Singh & his team has been saying that Inflation would come down since 2009, Congress is about to push the nation into doomsday by Food Security Bill etc... and the left liberals of media perpetuating their own venom - i came up with a solution for the common man of this country. This is the only way in which a hard working middle class man can survive.

Comrade Arvind Kejriwal strikes

  • 1

Couple of years back, a friend of mine got a call from his Delhi friend “Are you coming to Delhi to participate in the Ant-Corruption Movement?” My friend wasn't sure to go to Delhi or not, I was asked to give my opinion. Going by the draft of Lokpal bill, I wasn't in a position to endorse the bill and at the same time I advised my friend to join the movement as an honest tax payer there was deep sense of frustration and anger on the Congress Government.

Though like many, I didn't support the Lokpal bill but supported the Anti-Corruption movement and truly hoped that this unexpected huge accumulation of different levels of Indian middle class against the unprecedented corruption by Congress government would lead to many positive changes.

The movement was initially ignored by the media due to well-known reasons but later they were compelled to cover it even though some people were Unhappy. The media slaves of dynasty were forced to listen to the voice of the people ignoring the diktats of the dynasty. There, I felt that 90% of the battle is won but it got infiltrated with unwanted elements.

Frustration of a Lazy Coder

  • 0

Let me put this right away, I am a very lazy coder, slow learner and procrastinator. I am a Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) graduate and working in a multinational software services company with 3.5years of experience.

I have to add more to the introduction and background information, bear with me. People of my age with state syllabus background were introduced to computer programming in our Engineering and like many, I was a bit petrified and I still do get scared, but I have evolved differently in the last 10 years which includes my 4 years of computer engineering, 3.5+ years of software job and 1.5+ years of downloading and watching movies. This is a long post – but have some patience because I am trying to raise important questions here.

"If you can't explain it to a six year old, you don't understand it yourself." ~ Albert Einstein

It all started with C

In the 1st year of Computer engineering we were introduced to C language. I forgot to mention that I have a bad habit of leaving things in the middle when I don’t comprehend them after reading it 3-4 times and this habit has hit me very hard and almost snatched away my career.

During his visit to Chile, Barack Obama said, "I think it’s important, though, for us, even as we understand our history and gain clarity about our history, that we’re not trapped by our history". NO is a film about the historic plebiscite of 1988 on whether General Pinochet should stay in power for another 8 years and the role played by Television Advertising.

The important things which grew in the last 2 decades are Television and Internet. Both have shown enormous penetration and its influence. In India, both have taken a different path in the course of time. News has important place in both these areas and they have dramatically changed in the past 2 decades. From Arun Shourie's crusade against corruption by coming with a front page headline of "Good Morning Prime Minister" to a news channel doing a fake interview with a Bollywood star in his car asking about his political inclinations and on who is the best Prime Minister candidate in 2009.

Chile is a thin strip country on the west coast of South America. The plebiscite of 1988 is a divided into two groups, YES of General Augusto Pinochet who came to power by a coup and the NO camp who are a formation of several opposition parties who want to bring back democracy. The YES and NO camp would be provided with 15 minutes on Television for 27 days to come with their advertisements. The NO camp approaches a brilliant advertisement creator Rene Saavedra played by Gael García Bernal. Gael García Bernal is one of the very few young actors who travels continents with his talent. Be it with the Mexican film about dogs 'Amores perros', to act like a transgender in Pedro Almodóvar's 'Bad Education' and as a Chilean in 'NO'.

The first scene of the film made me feel that there was something wrong with my eyes but later realized that the whole film was shot with Sony U-matic magnetic tape to get the feel of late 80's. The decision to shoot the film with magnetic tapes had divided the critics but i felt that it was a smart decision and it added the impact which the filmmaker was intending for.

Narendra Modi, Bigots and Non Bigots

  • 0
The recent intellectual commentary of Mukulji on Narendra Modi is one of the best example of Desi Left Liberalism. In his first sentence he terms millions of Indians as bigots. Yes, millions of people who have voted for BJP for so many years are bigots according to Mukulji. Few days back, Pratap Bhanu Mehta came with a column which trashes the 9 years governance of Congress and he ends with this sentence.
After all we do have the vote.
Mukulji’s bile for Narendra Modi comes with his Left Liberal hyperbole camouflaged under the generic word ‘Liberals’. He starts with…
Liberals fear and loathe Narendra Modi not because he is loved by voters who are bigots but because he appeals to some voters who aren’t.
So, let us assume for argument sake that millions of Indians are bigots and the rest who are attracted to them are non-bigots. Few questions which comes to my mind are:
  • Who are these non-bigots?
  • Why are they attracted to Narendra Modi?
  • Which category does these Non-bigots belong?

James M. Cain on his masterpiece "Double Indemnity"

I make no conscious effort to be tough, or hard-boiled, or grim, or any of the things I am usually called. I merely try to write as the character would write, and I never forget that the average man, from the fields, the streets, the bars, the offices, and even the gutters of his country, has acquired a vividness of speech that goes beyond anything I could invent, and that if I stick to this heritage, this logos of the American countryside, I shall attain a maximum of effectiveness with very little effort.

Tony Soprano on Gary Cooper

Let me tell ya something. Nowadays, everybody's gotta go to shrinks, and counselors, and go on "Sally Jessy Raphael" and talk about their problems. What happened to Gary Cooper? The strong, silent type. That was an American. He wasn't in touch with his feelings. He just did what he had to do. See, what they didn't know was once they got Gary Cooper in touch with his feelings that they wouldn't be able to shut him up! And then it's dysfunction this, and dysfunction that, and dysfunction vaffancul!

Inspired from Narayana Murthy, Rahul Gandhi asks another 10 years to turnaround India into a Super power

  • 0
Inspired from the vision of Narayana Murthy to turnourd Infosys in 3 years, Rahul Gandhi has asked another 10 years to turn around India. Speaking at a political rally, the 43 years old young leader laid out his vision to make India a super power.

He said "Congress party will focus on making India a Super power and will overtake China in economic growth" and added that his party would come up with new set of bills that will push forward the country into a new path of economic growth and asserted that the growth would be 'Inclusive'.

The list of the bills which will be tabled in parliament.

Right to Rights: The bill would ensure that every individual of this country has right to ask for a list of rights just by filling a form of 10 pages.

Let me tell you some incidents in the recent Indian political history, you may or may not have heard about them, but those incidents did influence the 21st century of India. It would be a non-linear narration.

*****

Scene 8
NDA lose the elections in 2004, Congress party makes big gains. Sonia Gandhi, as told by media 'sacrifices' the post of Prime Minister and Manmohan Singh is asked to lead the country. But, some say that the then President Abdul Kalam spoiled Sonia Gandhi's plans and there was no sacrifice but only a scapegoat who would be sacrificed. National media recollects Manmohan Singh's liberal economic policies and suggests that this would be an important chapter in Indian history, it was an important chapter but for other reasons.

Scene 3
After the death of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Sikh genocide followed when Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister of India. By the end of 1980's the exponential rise of BJP and other regional parties had made sure that Congress had to rely on other political forces unlike the monopoly which it enjoyed for many decades.

Scene 1
Indira Gandhi is studiously taking forward her father's legacy of Socialism and in the mean time, there was a silent revolution which started inf few parts of the country. Subramanian Swamy proposes his liberal ideas on how to improve the Indian Economy and not surprisingly there are hardly any takers in the Congress party and Indira Gandhi referred to Subramanian Swamy as 'Santa Claus with unrealistic ideas'.

Queen's Kitchen Cabinet and other thoughts

  • 2
“Let this be stated upfront. Muslims need not be apologetic at all in demanding a law positively biased towards them when it comes to the issue of targeted violence”
The above quote is by National Advisory Council (NAC) member Farah Naqvi on the Communal Violence Bill (CVB) proposed by the NAC, headed by Sonia Gandhi.

During the pre-emergency and emergency days, Indira Gandhi had close associates and advisers who used to take part in making important decisions over the functioning of the Government, it was called "Kitchen Cabinet". The "Kitchen Cabinet" was accused of favoring a family instead of country. The "Kitchen Cabinet" had ministers, bureaucrats and 'family members'. The family members who are not part of Government took crucial decisions and had to face questions from other quarters. Indira Gandhi's "Kitchen Cabinet" is history. But the foundations for Dynasty politics that were firmly laid continue to go strong even today. It should not come as a surprise that the current Government has its own "Kitchen Cabinet".

The National Advisory Council (NAC) headed by Sonia Gandhi is the "Kitchen Cabinet" of the UPA (or) of the Congress to be precise. There are some differences between the Kitchen Cabinet of the 1970's and the present one.
  • Most of the members of the Kitchen Cabinet are not ministers or bureaucrats.
  • Kitchen Cabinet does not report to the Prime Minister.
  • The 70's Kitchen Cabinet mostly comprised of elected representatives and the current one majorly consists of self-styled social activists.
  • The 70's Kitchen Cabinet didn't exist legally, but the current one exists on papers.

Friedrich Nietzsche: The Joker or The Batman?

  • 0
This may be repetitive and clumsy but i have to quote it again, i borrowed the analysis of Friedrich Nietzsche from one of his work while debating with a Maoist sympathizer who was quoting Karl Marx,  Che Guevera etc...
“When the exceptional man handles the mediocre man with more delicate fingers than he applies to himself or to his equals, this is not merely kindness of heart—it is simply his duty… . Whom do I hate most heartily among the rabbles of today? The rabble of Socialists, the apostles to the Chandala, who undermine the workingman’s instincts, his pleasure, his feeling of contentment with his petty existence—who make him envious and teach him revenge… . Wrong never lies in unequal rights; it lies in the assertion of “equal” rights… . What is bad? But I have already answered: all that proceeds from weakness, from envy, from revenge. The anarchist and the Christian have the same ancestry… .”
I am quite sure that the subject of 'Misinterpretations of Friedrich Nietzsche' would occupy more pages than the his actual works. Every ideology across the spectrum was influenced by the works of Friedrich Nietzsche and most of them deliberately misinterpreted his works and some misunderstood his works.

Anarchists have their own idiosyncratic imagination when it comes to the interpretation of Friedrich Nietzsche, they try hard to reach the line of "Hence Proved" to make others digest the fake that Friedrich Nietzsche was an Anarchist.

Christopher Nolan was accused of being insensitive to the Occupy Wall Street protests, as his film 'The Dark Knight Rises' allegedly ridiculed the protests and Nolan in an interview after the release of 'The Dark Knight Rises' said...
I think truly threatening villains are the ones who have a coherent ideology behind what they’re saying. The challenge in applying that to The Joker was to have part of the ideology be anarchic and a lack of ideology in a sense. But it’s a very specific, laid-out lack of ideology, so it becomes, paradoxically, an ideology in itself.

'Looper' and its loose connections

It wouldn't be wrong to say that what you read below is a bit far-fetched and comes closer to an uninteresting conspiracy theory but I have my own reasons to project them. I being an individualist and a film-noir fan for many years, it wouldn't be an instance of random and meaningless case of shooting in the dark, but it would be a strong case of a molecular study or observation of a specific genre of films and the style perceived by a filmmaker.

Rian Johnson’s "Looper" is termed as a science fiction action film. It contains 'science, fiction and action'. I experienced the feeling of micro epiphany while watching 'Looper', because I was able to relate it with the works of Jean-Pierre Melville. I warn the reader not to proceed further not because of the spoilers but due to the scope of being ridiculous is high and you may miss the fun when if you haven’t watched it. So, read at your own risk.

The first scene of the film vaguely deceives the average viewer but at the same time it directly projects the profession of the protagonist, which is explained in detail later in the film. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays the role of 'Joe Simmons' who is a looper working for a precarious organization. Joe is single and lives alone in his apartment which is neatly structured. I couldn't resist comparing the dark latitude of cinematography of the apartment with that of Jean-Pierre Melville’s masterpiece 'Le Samourai'. I felt that this shot is quite significant and would have skipped my attention if I weren't an ardent fan of Melville's works. I need not stress the importance of Jef Costello’s room in 'Le Samourai' for film critics and scholars; I guess the same amount of assertiveness in the character can be linked to Joe Simmons.

Most part of the film happens in 2044 and the narrator informs us that in future time travel is invented and the people from future contact them and explains us the concept of ‘Loop’ the role of a 'Looper' and how one ends his own loop. In 'Le Samourai' due to dramatic turn of events, or should I say due to (lack of conventional melodramatic) turn of events, Jef Costello is wanted by the police and the mafia and he has to find a way to come out of the nested loop, so is the case with Joe Simmons who is running away from the crime syndicate and he is also following and running away from himself (This is where the genre of science fiction fits)
