I guess I can call this beast as the biggest hoax printing machine of our times. This self-proclaimed independent magazine has been the venom spitting serpent for many years, it was deliberately allowed to go berserk due to its political inclinations and in return it was generously served financially and ideologically.

The growth of this magazine is an interesting phenomenon, not that it’s the most popular or a small magazine with intellectual insight, but it has always been a magazine which manufactured lies, fabricated issues, celebrated pseudo intellectualism, pushed biased opinions and promoted hate mongering.

It shouldn't come as a surprise for those who are aware of the disgusting views of this magazine, but when the same looney lot locates violence in the cartoons of Amar Chitra Katha and pontificates saying that they endorse murdering innocent Muslims, then that rubs the raw nerves.

During the pre-emergency and emergency days, Indira Gandhi had close associates and advisers who used to take part in making important decisions over the functioning of the Government, it was called "Kitchen Cabinet". The "Kitchen Cabinet" was accused of favoring a family instead of country. The "Kitchen Cabinet" had ministers, bureaucrats and 'family members'. The family members who are not part of Government took crucial decisions and had to face questions from other quarters. Indira Gandhi's "Kitchen Cabinet" is history. But the foundations for Dynasty politics that were firmly laid continue to go strong even today. It should not come as a surprise that the current Government has its own "Kitchen Cabinet".

The National Advisory Council (NAC) headed by Sonia Gandhi is the "Kitchen Cabinet" of the UPA (or) of the Congress to be precise. There are some differences between the Kitchen Cabinet of the 1970's and the present one.

• Most of the members of the Kitchen Cabinet are not ministers or bureaucrats.
• Kitchen Cabinet does not report to the Prime Minister.
• The 70's Kitchen Cabinet mostly comprised of elected representatives and the current one majorly consists of self-styled social activists.
• The 70's Kitchen Cabinet didn't exist legally, but the current one exists on papers.

So, what made me write this post? The answer would be an easy one. It is because of the firangi jholawala princox. I am not writing a review for Woody Allen’s film ‘Husbands and Wives’ nor am i married to write about issues of ‘Husbands and Wives’. This post is about the controversy created by media and feminists regarding the statement made by Shriprakash Jaiswal.  This is what Shriprakash Jaiswal said while addressing a cultural event.

Women organizations protested, they criticized and some even said that it’s “Commodification of Women” and should be charged under IPC. Let’s just replace the word ‘wife’ with ‘husband’ in the statement made by Shriprakash Jaiswal. It would be…

Does the above statement create anger? For me, the above statement is more like a gimmick of a left-liberal- feminist standup comedian. If you have visited a pub or a bar where these days the so called female standup comedians perform their acts, every alternate joke is about boyfriends and husbands and if they are out of sexist jokes they shift their attention on Penis jokes. Of Course, the performance of so called ‘Desi’ female standup comedians is of gutter quality, but no one questions the sexist remarks made by them. Why?

In Response to a Junior from Presidency College

Dear Junior,

The name Presidency College invokes a rather wide array of emotions in me. Even today as I walk through that gate or climb up those stairs, history whispers to me tales from a glorious past, a splendid heritage inspires reverence. I have been lucky to be taught by some of the best teachers at Presidency. That I could ever sit in a classroom, where the likes of Prof. Taraknath Sen and Prof. Bhabatosh Dutta ever taught, overwhelms me. Yes, I am a very proud Presidencian! Presi was my first citadel of freedom. Be it good or bad, whatever I am today has much to do with those two years I spent there.

I also know of another Presidency; a dim and dark dungeon where a girl, about your age was most thoroughly brainwashed. The thought of this Presidency makes me go numb in fear! Let me share her story with you. Once there was this inexperienced and foolish young girl who wanted to usher in positive changes overnight. Her restlessness made her vulnerable. Thus started a process to indoctrinate her with a dreadful ideology.  Her seniors (some of them are now in Police custody) whom she looked up to would give her left radical literature to read. She would be taken to Naxalite congregations. Her faculty for reasoning however had not totally subsided, she could still see through their insincerity, but she would be snubbed off every time she tried to voice her doubts. Her logics would be deemed as ‘inherent reactionary tendencies’. As it happens, after a point she gave in. She somehow stood convinced and even before she realized it herself; she was editing pamphlets for the PCAPA. That girl was I. When the chief minister in her imperfect English tries to put it across that frontal organizations of underground groups are active in the elite institutions of the city, she is speaking the truth and I know it from my experience.

Cuss words of Indian Media

I am often compelled to think weather majority of us who have the instincts to react to the injustices and prejudices in society(via media) have ever pondered to deconstruct the truth behind the news and the malicious intention of the messenger. Lets us all (if not all, at least most of us) agree that we are lazy scumbags who take and agree what is given to us even though it is crap.

These days, we are being told that social media is irresponsible. The padma awardee journo is one of the protagonist of this movement, when the irresponsible social media was brainstorming the mainstream media over their silence on a CD, the padma awardee journo was quick to come with words like 'public interest, privacy, etc...'. I am again asking the same question again, what offense did Nityanada commit? why was he termed as 'Sex Swamy' by these media houses and journalists who carry morality, privacy and freedom on their shoulders?

On what categorization is Nityananda distinguished which forced our journalists to term him as sex swamy and throw mud on his privacy and under what interest did the media houses report and telecast the XXX tapes of him?. Doesn't Nityananda have the same privacy rights like others?. What national importance and public interest did the padma awardee journo discover in some xxx tapes and why did they fail to recognize the 'Right to Privacy' in those tapes and what made them enlightened in the recent xxx tapes?. Let me state my position on these tapes and such other issues - I am totally against anything which compromises the rights of an individual and which hurts his/her privacy, any act of such kind which suggests to be illegal should only be taken and discussed in court and no trial should be made by public and media.

The Curious case of Censorship

The Censor B***d has always been a puzzle to me for its acts, for filmmakers it’s a devil and for viewers it’s a soft target. Passion of a filmmaker can only be understood by filmmakers, the infatuation for movies can only be explained by movie-buffs and the burden of social responsibility for making our society cleaner and evil-free can only be understood by them.

Let’s go back into History. Freedom of Expression was a risky business for all the governments and Indira Gandhi was petrified by it, suppressing the freedom of Expression by Govt is nothing new but the suppression of it by institutions is the most dangerous practice. The inception of such ideas with respect to our country points to our Desi Comrades – The curriculum in history text books is the best example, where Karl Marx is suffocated in 42 lines and their own Swami Vivekananda is liberated in 2 lines.

Pran, Kishore Kumar etc… were some celebrities who verbally opposed the emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi and the result of it is the discrimination and suppression of speech adopted by the govt. A song in which he praises Vajpayee, Morarji Desai, Advani and Jayaprakash Narayan was banned. In those days, Doordarshan was the only channel and the government planned to keep the common man in their homes by telecasting the film ‘Bobby’ but the people found the speeches of Jayaprakash Narayan more captivating. Let’s get back to the Censor B***d.

Safety Valves of Left Liberals

Left Liberals are a hybrid product of slyness, fallacy and cockeyedness. These rare species deserve to be extinct, but somehow they still exist with the help of their usual gimmicks – Sometimes they do fall in the category of ‘Endangered Species’.‘Outlook’ magazine comes with a boring and spineless article on the Muslims of Gujarat ‘One side of the Divide’ and we have a comment by this famous talented lady.

“Some say Muslims must move on, but what choice did they have? People accept their fate though they didn’t get justice.” Mallika Sarabhai

The above quote strikes the chord with many, but one never tries to deconstruct such feckless quotes. The common man is addicted to the bad habit of satisfying with what he listens and what he sees without applying some strain on his cerebrum and accepts these baseless and goosy comments.

When people of a particular religion are involved in any wrong doing, we have to hear statements like “These people are devoid of basic education, society forces them to takes such steps”. After 26/11 Mumbai attacks and series of bomb blasts across the country, I find some left liberals whispering statements like “One needs to look into the root causes, instead of fuming hatred”.

Does ‘Education’ solve everything; will it change the thinking of an individual? The faith of a particular religion? An individual’s perception towards other religions? There is an interesting graph done with the help of the data provided by UN and World Bank. The percentage of expenditure on Defence and Education. The graph throws some interesting points— Percentage of Budget spent on Defence by Pakistan is higher in comparison with India and Indonesia—Percentage of Budget spent on Education by Pakistan is lower in comparison with India and Indonesia. So, one would step ahead and say that Pakistan is facing a crisis of Terrorism & Religious Extremism because of lack of attention for education. Before jumping to the above conclusion let us explore more about the same graph. The percentage of spending on Defence by Indonesia is less in comparison with India and Pakistan and the percentage of spending on Education by Indonesia is higher in comparison with India and Pakistan. So, obvious conclusion from the above statement is that Indonesia is more progressive.

Unfortunately, the above two obvious conclusions contradict each other. Pakistan is the epicenter of Global terrorism, Shia-Sunni hatred, etc..,. Indonesia too gets a good rank when it comes to the degrees of terrorism; killing of Ahmadiyya’s to name few. So, I can safely say that less expenditure on Defence is really not a good option for good governance and more expenditure on Education doesn’t provide immunity from the problems of religious extremism.

To solve this puzzle, one should comprehend ‘Education’. Education given to children and literature fed to the young blood is the key. Countries which continuously inject hatred towards other religions as ‘knowledge’ and suicide for the cause of religion as ‘wisdom’ can never achieve peace even after spending 100% of budget on Education. It is an open secret that madrassas teaching is dubious and can be a security threat to the nation but the pseudo secular government has given the status of CBSE to the Madrasas. FYI- The terrorist group Indian Mujahideen, which claims responsibility for the various bomb blasts across the country, it has few senior software engineers working for them who were employees for multinational companies. Is the word ‘Education’ the satisfying answer?

Very often left liberals resort to their another lie—“Development is not equally distributed..A particular religion does not have equal opportunity…A particular religion is not included in building a society”. The above rhetoric is apt when it comes to expressing opinion in news channels and live debates. For example let us understand the complexities involved – A normal muslim does not have the freedom to trade like others communities because of their obligation with sharia law. Children in muslim families doesn’t have the liberty to pursue higher studies especially girls because of the stone age orthodox rules. A substantial percentage of muslim population still prefers the madrassa education to their children. The secular governments in our country are coming with solutions for these issues like the ‘Islamic Banking’ where the banking rules oblige with the sharia law. Religious Reservations are being introduced to encourage muslim students to pursue higher studies. Do the measures taken by secular governments help the marginalized community? YOU decide it.

This independent magazine suspects that 26/11 Mumbai attacks were a conspiracy of Hindu Terrorists and it also feels that comic ‘Amar Chitra Katha’ can be used for killing innocent muslims. The quality and authenticity of the sting operations done by this fearless magazine is well known and expecting worthy articles from Tehleka is same like expecting a life time warranty on goods brought from China Bazaar. Few weeks back I was browsing few Bangladeshi websites as they have jointly hosted the cricket world cup with the sub continent nations and I was curious to know the opinion of Bangladeshi people, opinion of the online community to be more precise – Accidentally I came across this blog.

I have read some tweets where people show their sympathy for such pathetic situation and also take pun saying that 'some people complain about Insomina in A/C bed rooms but have a look at them.' The typical style adopted by many to squash away the real issue. Just think for few seconds, my questions might be harsh, prejudicial and rude, but think and try to get an answer. Does a garment worker need so many off-springs? Is he under any compulsion to produce so many children? Think and get an answer.

When the Left Liberals are asked genuine questions, they elude them with the same rhetoric, they open their safety valve to escape the pressure and eventually come with nonsense like ‘Root causes, lack of education, injustice, No equal opportunities, bullhshit, etc.., ’. These safety valves are now a common scene-- they help these left liberals to escape from facing the litmus test.

When a left liberal is asked straight questions, they desperately try to get out of the situation by repeating the same bullshit, if you force them with your logic, you end up being tagged as a Internet Hindu or be labeled as Hindutvawadi, let me tell you-being labeled as a right winger is the first level of success, your are bound to be discouraged with such attack but move ahead with a strong ego, press for more clear answers by asking them to close their safety valves. Your argument has morally won the battle when the left liberal has opened his/her safety valve.

Neelabh mishra unsurprisingly mentions Binayak Sen as a possible mediator between the Chattisgarh Government and the Maoists, but does he remember on what charges did the honorable court has convicted him? A man who has been convicted on serious charges is being endorsed for an official arbitration.

collector Krishna, too, made some interesting observations: he said time spent among poor tribals in Maoist areas had made him more sensitive to their troubles and that there could always be a debate on different development perspectives .....who have taken up arms for a “different development” perspective. 

Collector Vineel Krishna might be enlightened or is under a stockholm syndrome or something else, but the actual point is, on what condition are the maoists willing to talk? what is "different development" ? etc.. These questions will be answered the same stereo-typed talk without any concrete analysis on the venomous Maoist ideology and the ruthless violence which the maoists have been practicing for decades.

I wonder if it is Mr Mishra's ignorance or his gimmick to prove his point, but if one looks at the history of kidnappings, abductions, killings of police officers and recently the rapes performed by maoists, one can hardly say that they are fighting for “different development”.

The last paragraph of the article is the hightlight, Mr Mishra tells us the political statement made by maoists by the abductions. I seriously ponder over the profound sympathy of Mr. Mishra for the Maoists by making such a imprudent conclusion. Mr. Mishra in his last statement writes..

It’s a face that the whole state and all its administration must show. Always.

So, in the end the article gives us the gyan that we need to extend the peace process even when they have waged war against the Indian Union?, ignore the fundamentals on which our country was built? Show Sensitivity when innocent people are killed by derailing the trains, beheading people, policemen are blown into pieces with the help of RDX and land-mines? The alumni and scions of JNU and other breeding grounds will  never create any deficit of Left intellectuals and the support for these butchers is guaranteed for another decade. To have peace talks with maoists is like sacrificing the spirit of our constitution, betrayal to the State and selling ourselves at discount rate. Finally what Mao Zedong has said long back and which our Indian comrades are following it sincerely.

Digvijay Singh is back in news again, due to the remarks which he made on the death of Hemanth Karkare. Long back he was in the news because of his remarks on Naxalites and he was also in the news when he questioned the authenticity of the ‘Batla House Encounter’.

We have Padma Shri Barkha Dutt who gives good amount of time for Digvijay Singh on NDTV with her interviews. After 26/11, Mr. Antuley comes with his conspiracy theory over the death of Hemanth Karkare and it takes more than a F*****g week for Home Minister Chidambaram and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to pacify Mr. Antuley. Digvijay Singh talks about his views over Naxalism and Batla House Encounter with his good little smile on his face and replies to brilliant questions asked by Padma Shri Barkha Dutt. In a detailed interview on the ‘Batla House Encounter’ Barkha Dutt asks various questions to Digvijay Singh but fails to recollect one single important fact that the autonomous body National Human Rights Commission had given a clean chit to the Delhi Police over the Batla House Encounter. It takes less than common sense to understand why such so called ambiguity exists in the Congress party over sensitive issues, anyone who knows the power of the Congress HIGH COMMAND would never open their shitty mouths unless they are told to do so and accidentally? We find those views being aired on national news channels.

The recent cablegate leaks by Wikileaks have proven what the Internet Hindus and lynch mobs have been saying for very long time. "Hoping to foster that support for upcoming national elections, the Congress Party cynically pulled back from its original dismissal and lent credence to the conspiracy"~David Mulford . Its sad that Barkha Dutt and Vir Sanghvi are unfairly targeted by the Internet Hindus and Lynch Mobs by labeling them as #Barkhagate and #Virgate over the leaked audio tapes related to 2G scam, which is the biggest scam in the history of our country.

Barkha Dutt and Vir Sanghvi are recipients of the Padma awards for their contribution in the field of journalism. It is obvious that people who have received the Padma awards should carry some morals and ethics related to their profession, unfortunately the recent tapes have questioned the morality and ethics of Barkha Dutt and Vir Sanghvi.

Padma Shri Barkha Dutt who vehemently talks about morals, rights, wrongs, justice etc…is now a soft target for her detractors. People who know her contribution towards secularism and nationalism will never doubt her ethics but it is for those people who have questioned her journalistic ethics need to be answered, the best way to answer them is by giving away the Padma Shri title, because it would be a tight slap for the lynch mob and serves as the role model for many journalists and women in india. I am quite sure that Barkha Dutt who emulates the highest standards of morality and ethics will give up her Padma Shri award. I wish she would appear in more bollywood films and her role will be emulated in many films.
