Why Howard Roark’s life and message makes him the son-in-law of communism:

After Karl Marx and Lenin, when world felt the void of Communist heroes, a  reincarnated soul in a ripe orange hair emerged to save the world , he was called Howard Roark, he fought against oppression, championed the cause of the poor, denounced religious dogma and empty ritualism, and sought to inspire a righteous attitude in society.

The life and message of Howard Roark reveals that he imbibed, taught and fought for these principles vehemently. In fact, an objective analysis of the ‘The Fountainhead’ too would reveal that Howard Roark was a better communist than Karl Marx. One could go so far as to describe him as the faithful torchbearer of communism!

ప్రాణంలోని ప్రాణమా, మౌనంలోని సరాగమా,
నా గుండె గుడి లో దీపం నువ్వు,గుండెసడి తాళం నువ్వు,
చిన్నపిల్లలా ముద్దులొలికే మాటలు నీవి ,విని తరించే భాగ్యం నాది.
వెన్నెల దారుల వేయి కాంతులు, నువ్వు నవ్వితే వెల వెలబోవా!!

నువ్వు తాకిన పూవనం, పులకించేను తోటంతా యవ్వనం,
ఆ పూలదారిలో మనం నడిచే క్షణం, జీవన మధురక్షణం,
నింగి నుంచి తారను తెంచనా? చందమామని చెక్కిలికి రాయనా?
ఆ చుక్కల్లో చిక్కి నవ్వుతావేమో, రాలిపోయేను పాపం నక్షత్రాలు!!

సాగాలి మనం నడకలో నడకై, జీవన తరంగమై,
జన్మంతా నాతో ఉంటావా? నీలో నేనున్నట్టు గా,
మనసులో నన్ను నింపుకుంటావా? నాలో నువ్వున్నట్టు గా,
జగమంతా మనమే ఉందాం జనమెవ్వరు లేనట్టుగా!!

Gujarat, Nature and Activists

Many of my left liberal, communist and socialist friends resort to the tools of ‘Greater Good’, ‘Equality with Dignity’, ‘Government’s Responsibility’, ’Marginalized’ etc… to counter my arguments over issues like religious reservations, economic policies, minority appeasement etc… and I am eventually compelled to release mild tantrums like “Going by logics of yours (lefties), people of this country can only survive either by begging or stealing”.

These days, the word ‘Environment’ gives orgasms to many activists and their views get endorsed from the usual suspects, especially when it’s related to Gujarat. If you are a keen observer over the strategy and methodology applied by the Anti-Modi or Anti-Gujarat group, you can easily trace the origins of the latest allegations by so called environmental activists against the Government of Gujarat in regard to the ‘Technology Solution for Environment Upgradation’ seminar organized by Gujarat Govt. Mr. A. K. Joti, Chief Secretary of Govt of Gujarat is accused of being anti-environment and pro-industry. Mr. A. K. Joti has made a comment on “Basel Convention” with respect to other players like China, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

I tried to deconstruct the strategy applied by these activists whenever Gujarat or Modi is the issue. The tricks used by these activists seem to be a neo-platonic approach, which usually yield good results.

Never Let Me Go - Tunes of Sorrow

Its perhaps a guilty pleasure to admire tragedy because of the emotions it can spur in the viewers mind and with all the skepticism towards life and its meaning, ‘Tragedy’ may be the intangible essence of life. Life, as understood (or misunderstood) by us could bring its sorrow assorted with its ecstasy to play cruel jokes accompanied with hope. Thus, tragedy is a long spectrum of emotions which ruthlessly demands a lot of comprehension unless one experiences it.

Never Let Me Go (2010) is based on Kazuo Ishiguro’s book by the same name, it’s a dystopian film. Kazuo Ishiguro [1] has mastered the art of tragedy, the films fluidity is a testimony to it and the grief of its characters is the relentless questioning on the meaning of life. Almost every frame of the film has its share of melancholy, and the characters constantly ‘Break the 4th Wall’ and shoot uncomfortable questions. One might be under the assumption that a dystopian film would trim the burden of reality and it would be much easier to digest the feelings, but on the contrary – it’s the dystopian set which makes the film more tragic and engaging.
