Gujarat, Nature and Activists

  • 1
Many of my left liberal, communist and socialist friends resort to the tools of ‘Greater Good’, ‘Equality with Dignity’, ‘Government’s Responsibility’, ’Marginalized’ etc… to counter my arguments over issues like religious reservations, economic policies, minority appeasement etc… and I am eventually compelled to release mild tantrums like “Going by logics of yours (lefties), people of this country can only survive either by begging or stealing”.

These days, the word ‘Environment’ gives orgasms to many activists and their views get endorsed from the usual suspects, especially when it’s related to Gujarat. If you are a keen observer over the strategy and methodology applied by the Anti-Modi or Anti-Gujarat group, you can easily trace the origins of the latest allegations by so called environmental activists against the Government of Gujarat in regard to the ‘Technology Solution for Environment Upgradation’ seminar organized by Gujarat Govt. Mr. A. K. Joti, Chief Secretary of Govt of Gujarat is accused of being anti-environment and pro-industry. Mr. A. K. Joti has made a comment on “Basel Convention” with respect to other players like China, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

I tried to deconstruct the strategy applied by these activists whenever Gujarat or Modi is the issue. The tricks used by these activists seem to be a neo-platonic approach, which usually yield good results.
  • Pick a statement over an issue
  • Make the statement look ambiguous.
  • The statement which was meant to be specific for a particular situation, but by giving the necessary decoration make it looks like a general statement with profundity.
  • Blame the Gujarat Govt by attacking with the charges of Anti-Environmental etc.. and produce half-baked facts.
If one remembers the tamasha which happened during the construction of the Narmada dam which got the participation of Aamir Khan (Actor in the film ‘Rang De Basanti’) and if one has made a minimal effort to check the advantages of the dam to the farming community – One can only reach to a conclusion that there was a clear vision of what the government was planning to achieve and how it was successful in exemplifying the ‘Inclusive Growth’, the word usually used by some activists.

There are many voices who constantly remind us the undeveloped North-East India and a reality check would reveal the bad infrastructure of the North-East India. For example, the transport facility within the North-East is bad and the connectivity with the rest of India is also bad. So, how do we develop a part of India which is getting alienated for some reasons which includes the connectivity issue? Will these activists ever allow the development of North-East India? Can development happen without plucking a plant or destroying rocks?

Before going into the above questions, let’s go to the basic question. Does North-East need development? Or to put it more precise ‘Does north-East needs Transport Connectivity?’ The Sikkim earthquake which killed many people reminds the need for the better transport facility, the rescue operations were forced to be carried by air instead by ground because of the pathetic connectivity. A question to Environmentalists here, Will you allow this part of the country to be developed or would you stick to your moronic ideas to stop the development which is an imperative need?

The River Linking project which promises to resolve some of the irrigation problems of this country can be shown a red signal with the help of the same activists. The most disgusting of such examples is when the use of a drug (which is made from a specific plant) is banned citing the issues of nature, which clearly projects the reality of how nature is being overrated and how man has decreased the level of his self-respect. Has the life of human beings become so unworthy?

This country would be doomed if the words of these activists are taken seriously, the only people who gets benefited by taking the country backwards are the activists who would still have some poor people to fool and churn attention towards them by raising the concerns of the poor, it’s the sooner the better we realize the loop which only benefits the activists and fails every section of the society who wants to see growth. The lefties, activists, media hippies and the left liberals are the only people who will enjoy the situation of a deformed country and poor people as it gives more fuel to propagate their disgusting thoughts.

Mans existence on this planet is bleak if he starts to overrate nature, nature is beautiful because it is never restricted to certain boundaries and man as a noble soul cannot exist without freedom to pursue his vision.

I would look and admire the beauty of the concrete jungle and its twinkling lights in the night which is made by man with his own capacity which includes the hard work which ranges from the sweat of a construction labor to the intellectual and architectural brilliance of an architect rather than to admire the beauty of nature which has grown with less resistance and responsibility.
