Climate Change Deniers

These days just being cynic towards the concept “Climate Change” is viewed like an act of blasphemy.

People who question “Climate Change” are now being suffixed with word “Deniers”, and are seen as some kind of untouchables by activists and environmental fundamentalists. The word “Deniers” caught my attention, it was a powerful word long back, it was used by religious heads at religious gatherings to punish apostates.

I have my own doubts about “Climate Change” and refuse to believe EVERYTHING what is being propagated. Not so long back we had the concept of “Global Warming”, now activists and environmentalists do not use the word “Global Warming”, they have replaced it with “Climate Change” because many sane people have pointed that planet Earth is not just getting warm but also getting cold in some places.

Old civilizations recorded temperatures for many many years and have seen rise and decrease of temperate and its not a new phenomenon and even in the recent history of 150-200 years, recorded temperatures prove that climate has been fluctuating. Just an FYI, the word climate in a sense means that something should be changing.

Is there a concrete proof to say that there is a climate change?

Let me allow you to play the devil’s advocate and grant you this: “You have no concrete scientific proof against Climate Change and I wish to believe that there is a ‘Climate Change’”.

I agree that there is no smoking gun (bad metaphor I guess) against ‘Climate Change’ apart from some minor empirical and historical evidences, for argument sake let me even go a step further and concede to you that there is ‘Climate Change’, my next argument would be “Do you have a workable solution?” to stop ‘Climate Change’ without smothering the growth of third world countries such as India and China who have just begun to remove people from below poverty levels?

I haven’t come across any viable solution by environmental extremists or activists, or from rich nations who have high rates of carbon emissions and high rate of self righteousness who conveniently shift the blame and responsibility on others.

Vehement believers of “Climate Change” like activists, environmentalists and left liberals are trying hard to push their beliefs on rest of the society. We have reached a situation where anyone who doesn’t accept the holy statements of “Climate Change” believers will be segregated from public sphere and people who question the veracity of Climate Change will be bullied.

The above resemble the religious and moral policing which were prevalent in society many decades back, we have reached to this stage because of urbanic sophistication and the luxury of having 3 meals a day. I refuse to bow down to the so called sacred principles of “Environmentalism”, will be an apostate and may be I will have to fight it.
