A Communal Story and poor morons.

Let me tell you a story.

Warning: It’s a communal story, secular claques are warned!

This small communal story happened approximately 4 years back. There were two best friends, let us call them as Ajay and Vijay (Pseudo names). Ajay and Vijay were engineering students and best buddies - they hanged out regularly on the weekends. On a cloudy Saturday Ajay visited Vijay’s house and they planned to spend their Saturday evening by having Pav Bhaji and pani puri at their favorite restaurant. As planned, Ajay and Vijay reached the restaurant, but they were unaware that this weekend would turn out to be a bloody one for them. The restaurant is always crowded and the surrounding area is the hub for micro business and a shopping area for many.

A bomb exploded, killed many – Ajay and Vijay were oblivious to the bomb explosion as the site of the bomb explosion was 5km away from where they were spending their weekend. After five minutes of the bomb explosion in an amusement park, a bomb exploded near the restaurant and killed many, Ajay was one of them. Vijay was not swallowed by death; he survived the bomb blast and was admitted into the hospital. Ajay’s parents were shattered when they heard the news- his body was blown into pieces.

By this time, the unbiased indian media was telecasting the news of the bomb blast as breaking news and were reciting the term ‘Spirit of the City’. Vijay’s parents were shocked when they head this news on TV channels and at last with the help of relatives and friends they were able to trace their son in the hospital where he was being treated. Vijay’s parents were crying when they saw their son in a hospital bed and some of his friends were consoling themselves with the consolation prize given by death.

Doctors treated Vijay with earnest care and they have sadly informed the parents that their son cannot be the same boy. Vijay’s brain was severely damaged and he can’t be a normal person for rest of his life. 20 year old Vijay lost his mental balance and cannot even respond to normal functions of nervous system, most of his body parts are semi paralyzed. As Vijay is the only off spring, his mother and father are totally devoted to him. One really doesn’t know the meaning of the word ‘mother’ until one has seen the life of Vijay’s mother.

Initially, Vijay was fed with pipes - after some physical recovery, Vijay’s mother tries to feed his son three times a day with her fingers, but only half of the food is consumed by vijay and the rest is wasted as vijay can’t open his mouth to its full capacity and due to some complications in his throat he can’t swallow food easily, but the patience of the mother is remarkable- she spends around 6 hours a day just for feeding Vijay. Vijay speaks a lot, he always tries to speak, and he always tries to convey something to the nearby person with untypical monosyllables and some actions with his semi paralyzed hands, if you spend time and hear to what Vijay speaks, we curse ourselves and wish that we could understand what he is trying to say. Vijay’s mother is used to this torture but she comes out with a smart response to his sons actions and somehow convinces in son.

Doctors have assertively said that there is no hope that Vijay might improve his mental condition in the future but the poor mother’s heart doesn’t approve this, she prays to god every day and applies kunkum on Vijay’s forehead. Vijay doesn’t know that his best buddy was blown into pieces. It’s good that he is not in position to know what is happening around. Sometimes, tears roll down through his eyes. One doesn’t understand the reason behind those tears- some say that it’s due to swelling of the glands and for dear ones it’s a ray of hope for his return (A Doomsday hope I must say)

I narrated this story because, I am a stone hearted guy, yet I was moved by this one. I don’t hate those terrorists who have committed this heinous crime as they were just following their sacred goal for their god. I only have my anger towards GOD (I mean my god, not that of other ones). I ask him ‘why didn’t you kill Vijay’. To satisfy his thirst he could have blown vijay into some more extra pieces than ajay and could have killed him instead of this giving unbearable torture to Vijay’s parents for whom the rest of the life is spent on their only son.

Recently, there has been a demand for the clemency of Afzal Guru, ‘humanitarian grounds’ is reason behind this demand. Did Afzal Guru show any remorse for his act which killed innocent people? Can Afzal guru understand what the family members of deceased are going through? Can anyone imagine the consequence if at least one terrorist had entered into the parliament?

In 2002 Bali Bombings, the perpetrators were sentenced to death and a terrorist was interviewed in the jail by a journalist who works for an reputed international news channel, the journalist asked various questions about the reason behind his act and the terrorist said about religion, responsibility etc.. and he was also asked about the innocent people killed in that attack, his response was ‘They were just passersbys’.

A liberal who vehemently displays his ideology was asking Kashmiri Hindus to stop crying about what happened in the Kashmir valley and advised them to follow the path of Sikhs in respect to 1984 riots. Does this liberal know the difference between a riot and ethnic cleansing? Does he know that people were converted by pointing guns at their foreheads? Does he know that women were raped and killed and the communal community was driven away from their homes?

The above mentioned instances of compassionate outpouring is nothing new but I just want to ask, did you ever meet the family members of the people who have been killed in such attacks? There are many people like Vijay and Ajay and many families who have lost their sons, daughters, parents, friends, etc.. But no one gives a damn. No one gives a fcuking damn because these people are of no use, can they provide large chunk of votes? Can they invoke victimhood? Can they give journalists the stuff to write about the marginalized? The answer is straight NO, these poor morons are incapable of anything and aren’t helpful for anyone. The grievances of these morons, views of the people who understand them, people who question the attitude of many are helpful in creating columns and posts on ‘Internet Hindus’, tolerance, hate speech etc..

Poor morons, they are like just born insects in the dung, at least these insects die right after they are born, these morons doesn’t even have the guts to die because of fcuking emotions, emotions which are of no use except to express pity. These bastards who have lost their dear ones should compare themselves to cockroaches, like them they live in elite kitchens in also breathe in public washrooms, they still live remembering the death of their loved ones. No wonder, cockroaches aren’t extinct they managed to survive for centuries and I even wonder if these morons will survive for centuries?

I was doing my final year of Computer Engineering, on 25th August 2007, I planned to visit Koti to buy some second hand books of Agatha Christie, Sidney Sheldon and ‘Operating Systems’ by William Hastings to prepare for my campus interviews. I had to change my plans as I didn’t have money to reach Koti by public transport. I just have one wish, I ask GOD (if he exists) not to spare me during a terrorist attack with wounds like Vijay, he can blow me into few more extra pieces but kill me, I do not want others to suffer for my helpnessness.

Disclaimer: All morons, bigots, b*****s appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
