Indian Establishment and its Mercenaries

In politics where there is a presence of strong "establishment" it is hard to differentiate between ideological adversaries and their nescient mercenaries. It is even more difficult to define the word "Establishment" which usually holds some minor strings of power.

“Establishment” is not something which gets replaced or voted to power with democratic elections but a cabal without any democratic legitimacy but has some control or influence over the institutions, committees and organizations of a democratic and sovereign nation. A large typical establishment in a democratic republic would have its hegemony in the aspects of Arts, Culture, History, Universities, Awards, Media and other social institutions with or without the support of government.

The 1960s and the early 1970s are important in modern Indian history.

• After the China war of 1962, India realized that they need to have a strong Army unlike what Mahatma Gandhi and Nehru envisioned.
• War with Pakistan in 1965 kept us vigil as it exposed the evil ideas of Pakistan.
• Genocide in East Pakistan which resulted in 1971 war contributed to the rise of patriotism in Indians.

Other things happened in 60s and 70s.

• Indira Gandhi, whom I consider to be a patriot with flaws made a deal with Communists due to political compulsions where she agreed to install Communists and their comrades as the heads of Indian institutions.
• Amar Chitra Katha started to become popular.
• Rise of Left terrorism.

Your right to eat beef..

Before asserting your right to eat beef, just have a minuscule thought about the animals right to live.

I am aware that above statement might be misunderstood. Let me explain.

Every animal has the right to live, my problem is with the assertion that eating something by taking a life is seen as "Right". I am against the argument that killing of something should be seen as some kind of fundamental right.

I am all for eating meat, but don't call it as some kind of fundamental right with vulgar display of your left liberal ostentation. I even support human cannibalism if you want to extend the debate to a stratospheric level.

Arvind Kejriwal and David O. Selznick

After the hung verdict given by the people of Delhi, political parties have found themselves in a quandary. Eventually BJP decided not for the government, and the first time AAP was in a trickier situation than other political parties. Arvind Kejriwal had no option but to come out with his thoughts when several allegations were being leveled against him and his party AAP as they were reluctant to form the government when there was a chance for a minority government and support by the Congress party.

Arvind Kejriwal came out with 18 conditions to Congress and BJP for AAP to form the government by taking either of their support – Congress accepted those conditions, now Arvind Kejriwal said that he has to take the opinion of people to whether to take support of Congress to form the government. Frankly, asking people to give their opinion again to on the issue of forming a government is nothing less than making mockery of democracy. What makes AAP sure that only the people who have voted for them will respond? There is a chance where supporters of BJP or Congress may sabotage this opinion poll of AAP. What if this turns to be a fractured opinion?

What Arvind Kejriwal and his followers do not understand is that the election verdict given by common man is the ultimate opinion, there cannot be an explicit opinion than an individual coming to voting booth and casting his vote. AAP has not only made a mockery of democracy but they have ridiculed the electoral process by making fun of the people’s opinion. Did Arvind Kejriwal has taken the opinion of families of Delhi blast victims before declaring Batla House Encounter as fake? Of course not – though AAP is a new political party, Arvind Kejriwal knows how to exploit the emotions of people.

David O. Selznick was known as one of the mighty film producers of Hollywood. Actions of Arvind Kejriwal reminds me of David Selznick in many ways. Selznick was famous to the outside world for making "Gone with the Wind", which is a celluloid extravaganza but it’s the inside story which gives a different picture of David Selznick. Though there were many differences among the IAC members they worked as a team to gather the momentum across the country for Lokpal bill.

Thoughts on Delhi Election Results

There is nothing wrong for them to be ecstatic when their party has done exceedingly well on debut. AAP is a phenomenon, may be short or a long one but the results of the Delhi assembly election forces many to do an introspection, not the same "introspection" as mentioned by Rahul Gandhi.

Delhi went through many changes in the last decade, the migrant population got increased, and the daily wage workers from neighboring states of Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Bihar have migrated in large numbers. Elite closed circuits of Delhi do not hold the same intellectual grip in the social groups. Left Liberals of cocktail clubs have been forced to reduce the noise to accommodate new tenants who closely associate with the same brand of political cocktail.

Fools rush in where Angels fear to tread.

Anna Hazare's Anti-Corruption movement attracted the huge Indian middle class and Arvind Kejriwal was able to hijack the imagination and the anger of the middle class against politics and divert them to AAP. Arvind Kejriwal and his team vehemently worked before the elections, their commitment and hard work must be appreciated and the results prove it.

Arun shourie was labeled by Shoma Chaudhary as "adumbral position between liberal knight, self-righteous crusader and unselfconscious fascist". For all these years, Shoma Choudary presented herself as a feminist, who stood for rights of women but when her boss was trapped in the sexual assault case, she adapted the style and narrative of Khap panchayats. Hypocrisy is one of the open secret ingredient which kept Tehelka running and endorsed disgusting feminists and left liberal voices to propagate crap. Genocide Suzie termed it as “Rape 2” and the members of pink chaddi brigade have gone missing.

Recently, I came across a discussion where racism was being linked with the game of chess and one foreigner rightly pointed out that Chess was invented in India which doesn’t have the history of racism. This silenced everyone, as it was the ultimate truth. A feminist friend of mine was asking others to participate in the "Black is Beautiful" campaign endorsed by Nandita Das, my first impression after hearing it was 'Bullshit'. Let me ask you a question, "If someone comes with 'White is Beautiful' or 'Wheatish is Beautiful' campaign, would you support it?" If cosmetic companies have to be termed as racist for coming up with fairness creams, then I feel that even the dark folks who are using fairness creams should be termed as racists and people who tan their bodies too should be seen as racists. By asking people what to do and what not to do with their skins, the pompous activists are asking you to surrender the individual rights.

Couple of years back, a friend of mine got a call from his Delhi friend “Are you coming to Delhi to participate in the Ant-Corruption Movement?” My friend wasn't sure to go to Delhi or not, I was asked to give my opinion. Going by the draft of Lokpal bill, I wasn't in a position to endorse the bill and at the same time I advised my friend to join the movement as an honest tax payer there was deep sense of frustration and anger on the Congress Government.

Though like many, I didn't support the Lokpal bill but supported the Anti-Corruption movement and truly hoped that this unexpected huge accumulation of different levels of Indian middle class against the unprecedented corruption by Congress government would lead to many positive changes.

The movement was initially ignored by the media due to well-known reasons but later they were compelled to cover it even though some people were Unhappy. The media slaves of dynasty were forced to listen to the voice of the people ignoring the diktats of the dynasty. There, I felt that 90% of the battle is won but it got infiltrated with unwanted elements.

Narendra Modi, Bigots and Non Bigots

The recent intellectual commentary of Mukulji on Narendra Modi is one of the best example of Desi Left Liberalism. In his first sentence he terms millions of Indians as bigots. Yes, millions of people who have voted for BJP for so many years are bigots according to Mukulji. During the pre-emergency and emergency days, Indira Gandhi had close associates and advisers who used to take part in making important decisions over the functioning of the Government, it was called "Kitchen Cabinet". The "Kitchen Cabinet" was accused of favoring a family instead of country. The "Kitchen Cabinet" had ministers, bureaucrats and 'family members'. The family members who are not part of Government took crucial decisions and had to face questions from other quarters. Indira Gandhi's "Kitchen Cabinet" is history. But the foundations for Dynasty politics that were firmly laid continue to go strong even today. It should not come as a surprise that the current Government has its own "Kitchen Cabinet".

The National Advisory Council (NAC) headed by Sonia Gandhi is the "Kitchen Cabinet" of the UPA (or) of the Congress to be precise. There are some differences between the Kitchen Cabinet of the 1970's and the present one.

• Most of the members of the Kitchen Cabinet are not ministers or bureaucrats.
• Kitchen Cabinet does not report to the Prime Minister.
• The 70's Kitchen Cabinet mostly comprised of elected representatives and the current one majorly consists of self-styled social activists.
• The 70's Kitchen Cabinet didn't exist legally, but the current one exists on papers.

I came across his name for the first time in my 10^th class Social Studies History textbook, a lesson about the World War II and if I remember correctly, the sentence was– ‘Hitler was inspired by the writings of Friedrich Nietzsche’. I underlined the sentence, in the presumption that it would come as an objective question and like always, I wanted to show my friends how good I am in Social Studies, especially in History. I did ponder about him for few seconds as he is one who inspired Adolf Hitler. This happened approximately 10 years ago.

I came across his name for the second time when I was in my final year of my Computer Engineering and read Ayn Rand’s ‘The Fountainhead’, I was remotely fascinated to know her inspiration, I did some research and eventually discovered that she was inspired by writings of Friedrich Nietzsche.

I was able to comprehend the intellectual humor of Woody Allen and after watching all his films, I came across an article ‘Thus Ate Zarathustra’ written by Woody Allen for ‘The New Yorker’ and thus I came to know about ‘Thus Spoke Zarathustra’. The admiration for Woody Allen made me look for his books ‘Side Effects, Without Feathers and Getting Even’ in book stores and luckily in the ‘Classics’ section of the book store my eye reads the title of a book ‘Thus Spake Zarathustra’, I was thrilled for an intangible reason, I was not sure whether I need to buy it or not?, I was holding the book in my hand and decided to turn few pages, the introduction section had a quote

“A testing and a questioning hath been all my travelling -- and verily, one must also learn to answer such questioning! That, however, is my taste --”,

I decided to buy the book – thus started my journey into Nietzsche’s works.

Understand few things before asking for 'Right to Religious Freedom'

Gujarat, Nature and Activists

Many of my left liberal, communist and socialist friends resort to the tools of ‘Greater Good’, ‘Equality with Dignity’, ‘Government’s Responsibility’, ’Marginalized’ etc… to counter my arguments over issues like religious reservations, economic policies, minority appeasement etc… and I am eventually compelled to release mild tantrums like “Going by logics of yours (lefties), people of this country can only survive either by begging or stealing”.

These days, the word ‘Environment’ gives orgasms to many activists and their views get endorsed from the usual suspects, especially when it’s related to Gujarat. If you are a keen observer over the strategy and methodology applied by the Anti-Modi or Anti-Gujarat group, you can easily trace the origins of the latest allegations by so called environmental activists against the Government of Gujarat in regard to the ‘Technology Solution for Environment Upgradation’ seminar organized by Gujarat Govt. Mr. A. K. Joti, Chief Secretary of Govt of Gujarat is accused of being anti-environment and pro-industry. Mr. A. K. Joti has made a comment on “Basel Convention” with respect to other players like China, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

I tried to deconstruct the strategy applied by these activists whenever Gujarat or Modi is the issue. The tricks used by these activists seem to be a neo-platonic approach, which usually yield good results.

Dangling Pointers - Ideologies of so called Modern Indians

I am a Computer Science & Engineering Graduate and the title of this post should be comprehensible for people who come from the same academic background and for those who don’t - below is the minimal definition from Wikipedia.

Dangling Pointers: Dangling pointers in computer programming are pointers that do not point to a valid object of the appropriate type. These are special cases of memory safety violations.

The presumption that an individual can be devoid of an ideology by being an active participant in social and political issues is not agreeable to me, for me it’s more of an hypocrisy and style statement and less to do with the social and political neutrality which an individual tries to project himself to keep immune from any disturbances. In this internet age, where one has the extreme freedom to express his views with anonymity and where one has the power to question and expose the lies of others, it’s imperative that the individual has an ideology. But, these-days I find a peculiar set of people who claim that they do not belong or associate themselves to any particular ideology but their views are based on greater good of the society and some clichéd stuff.

Sagaika Ghose, author of the book ‘Gin Drinkers’ states that her political ideology is ‘Liberal Democracy’ “Theoretically”. Barkha Dutt editor of NDTV enlightens us of what is bad by tweeting “Many of those tweeting in the name of the 'Right' online are the worst Ambassadors for their ideology. Mostly spewing poisonous garbage.”, We have B.Raman, who equates the restless right wing online people as ‘Nazi storm troopers’, the one and only Ramachandra Guha who is an expert in history, cricket, politics etc… and I suspect that his computer password is the pet name of the ‘The Greatest Indian after Gandhi’, the editor in chief of ‘The Hindu’ who has the unique power to read hundreds and thousands of pages of court judgments with in a matter of hours and write an editorial on it. All the mentioned esteemed people can easily be associated with one or the other ideology. The new group (I must admit that I found these creed recently, they may have come into existence even before my discovery) which deny any association to any particular ideology but project themselves as active citizens who have genuine concern towards society and politics amaze me and I call them as ‘Dangling Pointers’ and thus the title of the post. May be its premature for me to classify them, but taking of risk of going wrong, I would give a general classification based on my observations.

With my limited knowledge of Economics and very little knowledge of Greek Mythology, I surprisingly find very less similarities of the Greece Economic Crisis and the ‘The Greek Tragedy’.

Its  one of my guilty pleasures to include Nietzsche whenever and wherever I can, in this case – I drag Nietzsche and elevate him to a different level, many may feel that it is quite unnecessary, but guilty pleasures hardly take care of others opinions.

I am often compelled to think weather majority of us who have the instincts to react to the injustices and prejudices in society(via media) have ever pondered to deconstruct the truth behind the news and the malicious intention of the messenger. Lets us all (if not all, at least most of us) agree that we are lazy scumbags who take and agree what is given to us even though it is crap.

These days, we are being told that social media is irresponsible. The padma awardee journo is one of the protagonist of this movement, when the irresponsible social media was brainstorming the mainstream media over their silence on a CD, the padma awardee journo was quick to come with words like 'public interest, privacy, etc...'. I am again asking the same question again, what offense did Nityanada commit? why was he termed as 'Sex Swamy' by these media houses and journalists who carry morality, privacy and freedom on their shoulders?

On what categorization is Nityananda distinguished which forced our journalists to term him as sex swamy and throw mud on his privacy and under what interest did the media houses report and telecast the XXX tapes of him?. Doesn't Nityananda have the same privacy rights like others?. What national importance and public interest did the padma awardee journo discover in some xxx tapes and why did they fail to recognize the 'Right to Privacy' in those tapes and what made them enlightened in the recent xxx tapes?. Let me state my position on these tapes and such other issues - I am totally against anything which compromises the rights of an individual and which hurts his/her privacy, any act of such kind which suggests to be illegal should only be taken and discussed in court and no trial should be made by public and media.

The entire system of higher education in Germany has lost what matters most: the end as well as the means to the end. That education, that Bildung, is itself an end — and not "the Reich" — and that educators are needed to that end, and not secondary-school teachers and university scholars — that has been forgotten. Educators are needed who have themselves been educated, superior, noble spirits, proved at every moment, proved by words and silence, representing culture which has grown ripe and sweet — not the learned louts whom secondary schools and universities today offer our youth as "higher wet nurses." Educators are lacking, not counting the most exceptional of exceptions, the very first condition of education: hence the decline of German culture. One of this rarest of exceptions is my venerable friend, Jacob Burckhardt in Basel: it is primarily to him that Basel owes its pre-eminence in humaneness.

What the "higher schools" in Germany really achieve is a brutal training, designed to prepare huge numbers of young men, with as little loss of time as possible, to become usable, abusable, in government service. "Higher education" and huge numbers — that is a contradiction to start with. All higher education belongs only to the exception: one must be privileged to have a right to so high a privilege. All great, all beautiful things can never be common property: pulchrum est paucorum hominum. What contributes to the decline of German culture? That "higher education" is no longer a privilege — the democratism of Bildung, which has become "common" — too common.
